FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 22, 2020  Bradenton, Florida

Over the past weekend the USTA held a National Level 3 in Florida. Inspiration Academy Tennis player, Mary Brumfield, competed in the Girls under 18 division in Lakeland Florida. Mary who is coached by Ashley Hobson, came into this very competitive tournament as the number one seed and completely lived up to expectations. The Inspiration player looked very convincing in the early stages winning her first two matches and only dropping three games total in four sets of tennis. In her round of 16 match, Mary got off to a slow start dropping the first set 6-3 but she quickly turned things around and won the match 3-6 6-0 6-4. That match turned out to be the toughest match of the tournament for Mary. She went on to win the tournament in commanding fashion without dropping another set in her next three matches against some top junior players. Coach Ashley said he was very proud of how Mary performed this week.

Hayley Roberts also had a fantastic weekend in this tournament in the under 14 girls division. Hayley, another Inspiration Academy Tennis player, won the feed in consolation draw. After winning her first match and then losing her next one, she went on to win 6 matches in a row to win the consolation draw. What was impressive was that players who lost in main draw, were continuously being added to the consolation draw. Young Roberts played some outstanding tennis this weekend and finished 7th overall. Similar to her older Inspiration Academy teammate Mary, Hayley also dominated and won all her matches in straight sets. Congratulations also go out to Ana Benson who finished the tournament with a 4 and 2 record, Valeria Sanchez finished with a 3 and 2 record, and Leilany Sanchez finished with a 2 and 2 record.
