Baseball Academy

Welcome From The Director

Welcome to IA Baseball!  Our goal is to create an environment where you feel you are a valuable contributor to something greater than yourself.  Research shows that the secret to high performance is our deep-seated desire to direct our own lives, to extend and expand our abilities, and to live a life of purpose. Our approach to motivation has three essential elements:

  1. Autonomy—the desire to direct our own lives;
  2.  Mastery—the urge to get better and better at something that matters
  3. Purpose—the yearning to do what we do in the service of something larger than ourselves.

 We will become the driving force of a cultural shift towards development on and off the field.  Welcome to the Difference!

                                                               – Coach Mario Jimenez

Baseball Core Values

  1. Matthew 6:33 – Seek first the Kingdom and everything else will take care of itself
  2. Advocates – The staff and players fully believe we are all FOR each other.  Behavior that takes us away from this will not be tolerated.
  3.  Matthew 18:15 – We will go straight to one another if we have an issue.  Gossip destroys a team.
  4.  Proactive leadership – Set the standards and hold to them at all costs.  We are proactive with families.
  5.  Environment of learning – Listen more than you talk.  Be open to change.
